Aaron recently graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Music Performance (2017), studying trombone with Professor Tim Watt. At UW, Aaron played principal trombone in both the UW Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony, as well as performing in a variety of roles within the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Boyer is also an accomplished composer, particularly for brass instruments.
Recently, Aaron relocated to Chicago where he has continued playing trombone and composing music. Many of his compositions have already been recorded and performed by professionals of the music world, including a premier by the Apollo Chamber Brass in the Spring of 2016. Aaron has also performed and participated as an auditor in both masterclasses and summer festivals such as the Interharmony Music Festival in Italy.
Originally from Chicago, Aaron has been performing with the Grand Avenue Brass (both as a “sub” and full-time member) since 2014.
